GP Online Services - quick, easy and secure

GP online services is an easy way of requesting repeat prescriptions, booking appointments, checking to see when your next appointment is, accessing self-referrals and much more. This is currently available via Patient Access or the NHS App.

Patient Access

Patient Access connects you to local health services when you need them most. Available 24/7, via your computer, smartphone or tablet device with Patient Access you can:

  • Book and cancel GP appointments
  • Order repeat medication
  • Access your health record
  • Get health advice leaflets and videos

To register for this service, you will need a unique ID and password, which you must request from the surgery. Due to the nature of this service you will be asked to collect your login details in person and provide photographic ID (passport, driving license etc).

NHS App

The NHS App is run by the NHS. It can be accessed by anyone aged 13 and over registered with an NHS GP surgery in England or Isle of Man.

Once you have verified your identity in the app, you will have easy, 24/7 access to a growing range of health services and information including:

  • Access your health record
  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • Nominate a pharmacy
  • Register your organ donation decision
  • Take part in health research
  • Search symptoms, conditions and treatments

It’s easy to use, and, if you hit a snag, you can go to ‘Help’ in the top right-hand corner of the app or visit nhs.uk/helpmeapp.

Proxy Access

You may find it useful if someone else, usually a trusted family member, carer or close friend is able to access your online medical record on your behalf. For example, ordering repeat prescriptions, booking appointments etc. This is known as Proxy Access.  

In order to grant Proxy Access please collect a Proxy Access Form from reception. Please note photo ID and proof of residence is required.
